Where is TipThong Hut?
In the Sai Kaew Beach area of Koh Samet Island, Rayong Province, Thailand. Address: 56/1 Moo 4, Tambon Phe, Mueang Rayong, Rayong 21160.
How far is the beach?
Sai Kaew Beach is about 100–150 m away. The Mermaid statue is about 130 m away and Ao Phai about 500–650 m.
How far is the ferry pier?
Na Dan Pier, where ferries and speedboats from Ban Phe arrive, is about 820 m away.
Getting here
How do I get to Koh Samet from Bangkok?
Travel by bus, minivan or car to Ban Phe in Rayong (about 3–3.5 hours), then take a ferry (about 30–45 minutes) or a speedboat (about 10–20 minutes) to Na Dan Pier. See our full guide for details.
Is there a national park fee?
Yes. Koh Samet is part of a national park. In October 2026 the fee was 200 THB for foreign adults and 100 THB for children, paid to park officials on the island.
What is the nearest airport?
U-Tapao (UTP) is the closest airport, about 52 km away in a straight line. Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport has direct minivans towards Ban Phe.
